Our paper mache snowmen are finished and they look so adorable! The children all did a fantastic job decorating them. Thank you to all volunteers who helped out with the hot glue guns! You can see the finished products in person sitting on the ledge around the outside of the Hub.

Today, one of our Frostival activities was Stop, Drop and Read. For this, we walked through the hallways of the school listening to music over the loudspeaker. When the music stopped, we had to Stop, Drop to the floor and Read. Super fun!
Counting to 100 Days of SchoolThink Outside the BoxI loved the imagination and creativity the students used! There was only one rule-it could not be the number 100. :) Portraits of 100 Year OldsThe Process... These are so AWESOME! The finished product! 100 SnowmenToday, we completed step 2 of our Paper Mache Snowmen...we painted them white. They are really now starting to look like actual snowmen! Check it out... Part 1 of our Paper Mache Snowmen project is now complete. Yesterday, we spent the afternoon with our hands immersed in sticky goo applying newspaper strips to our paper bag snowman forms. Next week, we will paint them white and then following that, we will decorate. A HUGE Thank You to all the volunteers who joined us to help out! We couldn't do these projects without your support! Check out our pics below... Our Valentine's Day celebrations were full of love today! We started the day with some Math Valentine Centers, then we completed some Literacy Valentine Centers. Next, it was time for lunch and our Potluck. This was a great time to discuss proper Potluck etiquette and what's expected and unexpected for a Potluck. After lunch, we passed out our Valentine cards, looked at the cards we got from our friends and then had our dessert :) A great day! Happy Valentine's Day!! Well, we just finished our 2nd skating session today and it always floors me how quickly they pick it up! Everyone is doing so wonderfully! Thank you to all family members who attended today to help tie skates and to skate along with the children. Take a look at this week's pics...
Last week, the students created the most adorable penguins out of torn paper. They were given strips of black and white paper and turned them into these.... Check out the process... And the finished product... |
