For the past three years, we've had a little Elf join us during the month of December to keep our learning on track. His name is Zippy and this year his messages were all about kindness (being kind to others) and the real meaning of Christmas. Check out some of his messages to us below...

I simply love these projects! Students take such pride in sharing their family traditions with everyone and always do such a wonderful job! Check them out... I can't believe I almost forgot to post about our Grinchy Adjectives! Last week, we brainstormed a list of words that describe the Grinch both at the beginning of the story and the end of the story and we made a class list. Then, students got to make their own Grinch and add their choice of words that describe the Grinch (adjectives). What fun! :) This week, we were fortunate enough to actually get letters delivered to us from Santa! The children were very excited and I loved watching them intently reading their letters! :) This was soooo much fun to do and a wonderful way to end our Gingerbread Man Week! Thank you so much to Ava's Mom, Jacklyn, for baking the delicious Gingerbread Men, Logan's Mom, Mindy for providing the icing and everyone for providing the decorations! :) Such cute Gingerbread People!!! I love this idea of putting their own faces on their Gingerbread person and then decorating them with all sorts of different embellishments...they look so fancy!
